Nursery

LAMBS (Living As My Bible Says) is a ministry to young children (ages 1-5) and to the parents of those young children. A nursery is provided for children ages 1-3 during Sunday morning worship services and 1-5 year-old children during Wednesday evening family nights. There are small, private rooms with cribs and rockers for mothers and their infant. Children are always welcome during worship services.

Sunday School

The Sunday School includes children as young as 3 years old all the way thru high school. Sunday’s begin with singing as an entire group for about 10-15 minutes. Each Sunday, a different adult comes in to share an Object Lesson with all of the children; this is one of the highlights of the day for the kids! The students then split into their classes for a bible lesson - most classes combine two grades for a class size of 6-12 students.

High School

The high school class is especially active! Their activities include:

  • Christian Endeavor Weekend
  • ACYF at Purdue University
  • Fall Retreat
  • Ministry Trip (sometimes internationally) every two years

Wednesday Nights

Activities outside of Sunday School include groups that meet on Wednesday nights as well as class-specific excursions and events with other church groups from our denomination.

GiGi’s (Girls In God's Image)

Girls, 4th - 8th Grade
Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

The purpose of this group is to teach these young women about the image in which they were formed and what being a Godly young woman looks like today. We have discussed topics including Christian friendship, body image and being a servant. During our meetings we pray, discuss topics and study the Word. We get together periodically outside of church to hang out and just be girls. Through this group, we hope that we can first form relationships with Jesus our Savior and secondly with one another.

Giants

Boys, 4th - 8th Grade
Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

One of our minister’s, Joe Sprunger, is responsible for teaching and training young men in grades 4-8. This group learns what it means to be a man of God. One of the highlights of the past couple years has been the Mothers Day meal they have served to their moms one evening at church. Along with a lesson in serving and good table manners, the boys prepare questions to spur conversation over dinner with their Mom. Amazing memories for Mom and Son!

Bible Buddies

Boys & Girls, K - 3rd Grade
Meets 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

Abby Klopfenstein leads the Kindergarten - 3rd graders in singing, studying God’s Word, memorizing scripture and learning more about Christ through games, crafts and other fun activities indoors and out. This group meets during the school year and will be studying Moses during the ‘14-’15 school year.

Keepers of the Faith

Boys & Fathers, 1st - 12th Grade
Meets 6 - 8 times a year

Keepers is a group of fathers and sons in the first grade up through high school that draws inspiration from II Timothy 3; to get all the men together and learn from each father in the group. The group meets 6-8 times a year with the following goals:

    • An adventure led by each father around a topic or skill they enjoy or know well
    • Mixing ages to start meaningful relationships regardless of age
    • An object lesson or related spiritual study

We have recently gone wall climbing, camping and had a treasure hunt in downtown Indianapolis. Upcoming events include a large bonfire and an Indian artifact hunt. All men in the church are welcome.
